With a lot of practice and consistently learning more about it, I’ve learnt quite a few things and I thought I would share a couple of tips on how to take photos at night :

How to control Reflections :

1) A circular polarizer is a variable filter that allows you to choose how much reflection you can see through a reflective surface in your frame. I usually play with it and see how much of it i want in or not.

It was a really really hot day and lots of smiles and happiness all over. Seriously, the vibe was crazy beautiful. I wished the world had more of this and less of hate and division!

So some of you might know a bit about me, but what you might not know is that I don’t usually love crowds or don’t necessarily enjoy them..

First time for the Jazz festival in Halifax. This was a beautiful first day, really impressed with Aquakultre and Tank and The Bangas. The energy was crazy and glad I attended!!

I don’t think you can run out of things to shoot. That’s my take on photography. Training your eye is in my opinion the most important thing in photography or in any visual art. Everyone can take a photo nowadays, and that’s really cool but not everyone can shoot with style.

That is what I’m obsessed about.

Street Photography - By far my favourite genre of photography

It’s actually the first time in 2 years that we got the opporunity to visit the citadel and go inside. We’ve always just walked around and caught sunset up on the hill but never actually got to tour the place.

The thing with storytelling is that it can get overwhelming or even daunting. Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in how and what story to tell? Or sometimes we feel like we just don’t have a good story to tell. My philosophy is that we aren’t all born specialists, and I believe it’s more about learning as you go and making the most of it. You’d be surprised about how much inspiration you can get by just really looking at your own life. The most powerful stories are those based in a reality that everyone can connect to.

After retreating a bit during the pandemic, I am trying to get myself a little bit more into crowded spaces. In preparation for this type of event, I wanted to go out there first and know what it actually looks like.

After two years of pandemic, I must say I am quite impressed to see how much life this city has. Having moved here during the height of the pandemic, we didn’t know what this city was like pre-restrictions.
